First, a request: if you've been to Lazy Bear before, review us on Yelp! We currently have only 2 reviews on there, which just looks shady. To convince people we're for real, we need like 80 5-star reviews that gush about us, and then like 2 or 3 jerks who complain (so it seems more authentic). Can you be one of those gushers or jerks?
Anyway, here's what you need to know about the upcoming dinner: our only public dinner in May will be Friday the 13th. Don't worry. NO ONE WILL DIE. But twenty people will get their gaping mouths stuffed with delicious things. We won't even make you eat anything too scary. Reservations are now available, and we think they will go quickly. After next weekend, we are taking a break for at least a month to work toward opening a legit restaurant, stage at some restaurants, and spend all of our free time thinking of ways to fatten and delight San Franciscans. Plans include a Lazy Bear brunch, another vegetarian/vegan dinner, fried chicken and biscuits, and more. But that's all in the nebulous future. Live in the now! Or, more precisely, the next weekend:
Friday, May 13, $75/person, BYOB, 20 spots available, tentative menu attached with more details than usual, arrive between 7:30pm and 7:45pm with dinner to start around 8pm. BART-accessible location in the lower part of the Mission revealed after payment. To make a reservation, please email reservations@lazybearsf.com with answers to all of the following questions. We'll respond with instructions for pre-payment via Paypal, and we'll hold your spots for up to a few days before moving on to the waiting list.
- What is your name?
- How many people are in your party?
- Has anyone in your party been to a Lazy Bear event before?
- Does anyone in your party have any dietary restrictions you'd like us to try to accommodate?
- Do you know anyone coming on the same night with whom you'd like to sit, but who will be making their reservation separately?
- Just for kicks, what is the scariest thing you've ever eaten?
