Jeanette and I ate at Hearsay Supper Club a month ago and loved their wine pairings so much that we asked them to collaborate with us and pair beverages with our Lazy Bear courses! For this round of dinners we'll be doing the food, and Jeanne and Dan from Hearsay Supper Club will be pouring beverage pairings.

Good riddance to winter! The courses from the last Lazy Bear (see posts below) were the last time we are touching beets and other wintry stuff for a month or two at least. On this menu, we are taking full advantage of all the exciting spring produce, as you'll see in the tentative menu at right. Peas, both savory and sweet, fava beans, morels, artichokes, and nary a beet in sight! Expect some other spring goodies to show up as amuses and off-menu stuff (or as they say in Silicon Valley, "Easter eggs"). Jeanne and Dan are going to be pairing mostly wines, along with some curveballs. The cost will be an even $100/person, with beverage pairings and gratuity included. Friday night guests should plan to show up between 7:30pm and 7:45pm with dinner to start around 8pm. Saturday night times will be half an hour earlier. Location in the lower Mission will be announced after reservation and payment.

We won't be able to accommodate major dietary restrictions. But if it's something specific, let us know and we'll tell you whether we can accommodate you.

To make a reservation, please email reservations@lazybearsf.com with answers to all of the following questions. We'll respond with instructions for pre-payment via Paypal, and we'll hold your spots for up to a few days before moving on to the waiting list.

  1. What is your name?
  2. How did you hear about Lazy Bear?
  3. For which date are you seeking a reservation, Friday, 04/22, or Saturday, 04/23?
  4. If your preferred night is full, would you want to attend on the other night?
  5. How many people are in your party?
  6. Does anyone in your party have any dietary restrictions you'd like us to try to accommodate?
  7. Do you know anyone coming on the same night with whom you'd like to sit, but who will be listed under a separate reservation?
