UPDATE: Second attempt, this time sans Pictobrowser.
Over the past year or two, there have been a ton of things that I've cooked, and even photographed, but for whatever reason never posted. In many cases, these are the weeknight meals, the comfort food, the things I cook when no one's coming over for dinner. In other cases, I took pictures of components of a dish before or during cooking, but never photographed the finished dish. Anyway, here I've compiled some of them. This is mostly just for the purpose of clearing out a bunch of stuff that has been backlogged.
I decided to use that Flickr Pictobrowser that several other blogs use. It was a convenient way to post all of these without the post taking up too much space. The pictures can be clicked and dragged. How do you like it?

Peaches (spiced, marinated, sauteed), coconut rice pudding, lemon

Halibut in cartoccio with summer veg (photo is before wrapping and cooking)
Salmon two ways: 1) Sauteed with fried sushi rice, shiitake, shishito pepper, turnip stems; 2) Sous vide "mi cuit" in dashi with Koshihikari rice
.jpg)
Deep-fried pork shoulder roulade, using heatproof rubber bands
.jpg)
Pan-fried veal sweetbreads, porcini, grits, sugar snap peas, port sauce
.jpg)
Berkshire pork chop, sous vide then grilled, cannellini and fava beans, glazed carrots, pork jus
.jpg)
Live crawfish about to be boiled

Practicing my one spoon quenelles: flourless chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream
.jpg)
Agnolotti, tortellini, ravioli with filling of fava beans, morels, and ramps
.jpg)
Lobster @ 59.5C, curry-glazed carrots, curried carrot puree, peanut powder, coconut air
.jpg)
Chocolate chip cookies. The recipe isn't that important. It's all about taking them out at the perfect, gooey moment. Let them cool for one minute before serving, and they should just barely not completely fall apart when picked up.

Opah belly tartare, buddha's hand zest, and chives, in a petri dish, with pipette of sriracha
.jpg)
Berkshire pork roast and belly, juniper, Meyer lemon, fennel, jalapeno, fries
.jpg)
Green garlic pesto with Acme herb slab
.jpg)
Chicken thighs escabeche, saffron rice, rosemary, pimenton, with crackling "play-doh" and crackling. The "play-doh" texture was achieved by grinding crispy chicken skin with tapioca maltodextrin and pimenton. It turned into a pliable putty. Very pleasant to eat, actually.

Goat cheese-stuffed piquillo peppers with black bean puree

Chicken roulade wrapped in bacon

Sweet corn soup with cheap summer truffle (left). Seared scallops, fava beans, fresh pasta, summer truffle (right).

Restaurant-style brunch at our apartment. Menu included: French toast with basil whipped cream and strawberries three ways (left); French toast with coffee foam and maple syrup; Open-faced sandwich: Fried pork belly confit, Russian black bread, fresh peach, caramelized onion jam, arugula, bacon-maple vinaigrette, served with a side of homemade potato chips (right); Mushroom omelet with porcini, chanterelles, and king trumpets, shallot, heirloom tomato, fromage blanc, and chives; Croque madame with a side salad; hash browns; and of course, a side of bacon.

awesome pictures. How long do you spend preparing and cooking on a given weeknight?

When I browse Studiokitchen (who also uses this tool), using Firefox, the pictures show up maybe 20% of the time. That's how bad it is. In fact, just now viewing your site through Reader did not load the gallery. Only viewing your post did.
I guess it depends on how you think people will react. Will they view your articles in a new tab or just skim past it because it's only text now.
I hope you have some very compelling post titles from now on!

in my browser, i can see all the photos but the big gray box with the thumbnails won't go away, and it covers up half of every photo. no likey!

Alright, I switched it to just host the photos on my blog. It takes up a lot of real estate on the front page of the site, but that's fine. It's not like I'm doing this sort of post regularly!
Adam, thanks. The median time I spend on weeknight dinner is probably around 50 minutes. There are a lot of 30 minute stir-fry or taco meals, but there are also plenty of 90 minute stuff, when I get more elaborate. I do that a lot more often now that I'm unemployed. But a lot of the things pictured aren't weeknight, less elaborate stuff. A lot of them are just things that I decided didn't warrant a post. They might have been delicious but uninteresting, or something about them may not have looked especially great, etc.
Weekend meals are probably median 90 minutes. Cooking dinner is pretty much what I look forward to and structure my day around, every day.
