The giant dinner went well. It was not without its hitches (mostly just delays--it clocked in longer than our recent meal at the French Laundry, which also had fewer courses), but the food was almost all delicious, and was all beautiful. Plates came back clean, and at the end, every course but one was listed as one of someone's favorite courses. Pictures of most courses and the final menu will be coming in the next couple days.
Prep work for this dinner was a beast, with Jeanette and I spending all Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday on it, in addition to some minor things that we did over the previous week. It was not a bad way to spend a weekend, as far as I'm concerned, but now I need a rest from my weekend. I've been on my feet for a long time. Beer and music work best for prep work. For the post-dinner sigh, when everyone has gone, it's feet up on the couch, cat in lap, with a glass of port.

Glad the dinner was a success! I'm shocked that it took longer than planned j/k. Can't wait to hear the details.
